Members Update 30th March
Dear Members
Yesterday we took another step out of lockdown. Thank you for being patient with us during this difficult period.
The site is now open and we are starting to launch boats and fill the spaces on our pontoons. Please contact the Bosun prior to bringing your boat to the club or using the crane.
We anticipate (subject to government rules) opening the bar from Friday April 16th with outside seating. The bar will be open at the following times until further notice.
Friday & Saturday 12 – 9pm
Sunday 12 – 8pm
From 20th April we will open for Tuesday Night Racing 5-9pm and from 29th April we will be open for Thursday Night Racing from 5-9pm
We are now welcoming RC Laser sailors back to the Club from 4th April. Usual start time is between 10.30 and 11.00am – see the RC Lasers Cowes Facebook page for more details.
The CCYC Sailing Season starts with the Members Regatta on 24th/25th April, hopefully with a BBQ (weather permitting!) See the sailing schedule attached for more details of our other sailing events..
We are currently putting together a Social calendar for 2021 to include Cowes Week, and will send through more details as they become available.
We would just remind you that Covid restrictions are still in place on site, and we are currently operating to the Group of 6 Rule/2 households and social distancing. Face masks must be worn in any indoor area (toilets). Groups must remain seated and we will be operating table service.
