Progress has continued since the last article was written in February (Click to read previous update) albeit not as quickly as we had hoped owing to the unfavourable weather. As I write this, we have bright sunshine outside with a light breeze, and the work is proceeding more quickly with the end now in sight.
Most of the steelwork has been completed, and well over half of the new planks have been installed. The picture on the left is of the last pile top section being lifted away.
As a result of the tidal surge on 14th February, when water reached the surface of the apron, an electrical junction box underneath the walkway needs to be replaced. Until this is done the lights along the walkway and link bridge to the marina will not operate. This should be fixed in the near future.

There is a larger selection of photos showing progress in the Archive section of the Gallery, which will continue to be updated as the work continues Click here to go to the Apron Album.
